Theme & Atmosphere

The setting for Zeus Goes Bananas is a stone courtyard with columns on both sides of the grid, with an ancient Greek look to it. During base play, the reels are blue-toned, and the symbols are a mix of Golden Masks, Monkeys, and the Card Royals. Once Hold & Spin kicks in though, the whole backdrop swaps over to a magenta and pink palette with flames around the bottom of the screen.

Feature Overview

The Hold & Spin is the top feature in Zeus Goes Bananas. You trigger this Bonus by having a Wild appear on each of the 3 reels on the same spin. Once that happens, those Wilds lock in place, and the remaining grid positions respin. As well as this, there’s a lives system using chalices above the reels. You start with 3 lives, and each empty respin costs one. You’ll be reset back to 3 lives with each new Wild you land. New Wilds also advance you up the Wilds Ladder, which is how payouts are determined for the round.
