Theme & Atmosphere
Animal Rhapsody whisks you off to a cartoon village with stone buildings and even a castle looming in the background. The game’s symbols are mainly animated animals, and they’re all depicted in a colorful, lighthearted style. Music notes float across the screen, giving a cheery vibe. But when Free Spins kick in, the backdrop changes to an after-dark version of the village, cranking up the intensity.
Feature Overview
The chief mechanic in Animal Rhapsody to keep your eye on is its Synced Reels. What this does is group several neighboring reels together before each spin, meaning some or all of the reels will display identical symbols. Occasionally, this group is 3 reels wide. There’s also a Free Spins Round, which removes the randomness and fixes the sync to reels 2, 3, and 4 for the full duration of the Bonus. A Wild is also available that substitutes for any paying symbol.
Technical Specs & Mechanics
Animal Rhapsody has a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 30 total paylines. Adjacent reels have portions grouped together at random during base play, and the number of reels in the sync varies between a pair and a trio. One thing to note is that during Free Spins, the sync is always fixed to the 3 center columns.
Bet & Paytable Analysis
You’ve got a nice range of bet levels to work with here, so you can enjoy some low-pressure casual spins, or go for the glory and big wins if you want. Animal characters are the highest-paying symbols, with the Cat, Donkey, Chicken, and Dog at the top of the paytable. The Card Royals – J, Q, K, A – are at the lower end. Because 30 paylines are spread across the grid, even a synced pair of columns can result in several wins when the right symbols come through, so the range of potential wins is pretty wide.
