Theme & Atmosphere
Kitchen Mayhem has the sort of restaurant you’d leave immediately if you saw the kitchen first. Chef Bazzpacho is sweating behind the counter, the staff look barely qualified, and the food has developed opinions of its own. Fish, pigs, chickens and vegetables crowd the Reels while pans hang overhead and something always seems half a second away from catching fire. This isn’t fine dining and it knows it. It’s a greasy back-kitchen disaster where somehow the worse the shift gets, the more interesting the game becomes.
Feature Overview
The Cheese Wild is where the trouble usually starts. It only lands on Reels 2, 3 and 4, then stretches across the entire Reel and sticks there for a Respin. Another Cheese Wild during that Respin joins it, locks in, and buys another go. The sequence carries on until a win finally lands. Then there’s the Spice Bomb, which can take a losing board and upgrade the most common low paying symbol into its higher paying counterpart. Sometimes that fixes the problem immediately. Sometimes it doesn’t, and those upgraded symbols become sticky Flavour Flares instead. Matching symbols that arrive during the sequence join them and add another Respin. Somewhere in all that cooking, the game has quietly stopped being a normal 10-line slot.
Technical Specifications and Mechanics
The kitchen runs across 5 Reels, 3 Rows and 10 fixed Paylines, with wins paying in either direction. Bets range from $0.01 to $10, and the Max. Win is 4,000x. Three Scatters on Reels 1, 3 and 5 trigger 8 Dinner Rush Free Spins. Cheese Stretch Respins don’t use up the Free Spins counter, which is a useful little detail once several mechanics start overlapping. A Feature Bet can raise the frequency of base game features, while Bonus Buy skips straight into Dinner Rush Free Spins.
Bet & Paytable Analysis
The character symbols sit at the top. At the lowest bet, the lobster pays $0.20 for 5, the pig $0.10, and both the fish and chicken $0.06. The vegetables are smaller: tomato and pumpkin pay $0.03 for 5, while onion and green pepper pay $0.02. Those base values can get a lot more interesting once the modifiers kick in. Garnish Multipliers pay 2x, 4x, or 8x, and if the Global Multiplier is active too, the two multiply together. That’s where a fairly ordinary line win can suddenly stop being ordinary.
