Pirate 21 is a fun Blackjack variant that is easy to learn and always fun to play. You can play three hands at once, and the Match side bet is a nice feature.
Theme & Atmosphere
While the game has a pirate theme, really the only thing that points to that is the skull and crossbones on the Match side bet. The colors and graphics are crisp and clear, and all of the betting control buttons are located at the bottom of the screen. The game features a relaxing lounge piano soundtrack, which complements the gameplay nicely.
Feature Overview
Pirate 21 is a unique Blackjack variant that allows you to play three hands at once, pirate style. You are playing against the Dealer, getting as close as you can to 21 without going over. If you get 21, you have Blackjack and are paid out 3:2.
The game is played with six Spanish decks, which are unique and do not have any 10s. There are some other cool features in the game, such as the Match side bet, where you will be paid out if your card matches the card the Dealer has.
Technical Specifications & Mechanics
Pirate 21 features a typical green felt table with plenty of space to play three hands and put on various side bets. There is no need for a pirate’s bounty to play, as it has a wide bet range and a Minimum Bet of 1.00.
The game runs smoothly on both desktop and mobile versions, and with the use of a certified RNG for each round, you can be sure the game is 100% fair.
Bet & Paytable Analysis
You first make your bet and then are dealt two cards. You can Hit (receive another card) or Stand (keep the hand you have). If you have a pair, you can Split them into two separate hands for an additional bet. You can also click the Double button, where your original bet is doubled, and you receive an extra card.
The Dealer must stand if they have 17 or more, and draw a card if they have 16 or less. For the Match side bet, a suited match pays out 9:1, and a non-suited match pays out 4:1.
